The Role
We're looking for a Frontend Software Engineer who is diligent and conscientious about building a world-class application experience where users interface with agents. In this role, you'll help delineate the boundaries of the human-agent working experience and develop a humane UI for agentic collaboration. You'll work closely with design to bring the promise of agentic tools to real-world usefulness that fits in with users' existing and future-state workflows.
Responsibilities
Build polished and powerful UI for the LM Studio desktop application and LM Link
Collaborate with our design team to craft and ship top-tier experiences and workflows
Dream up the interfaces of the future state of agentic interactions, always asking the question: how will agents help LM Studio users accomplish their goals?
Obsess over the reliability of what you build and test, test, test to ensure success across edge cases
Qualifications
3+ years experience building frontend stacks, ideally in an Electron desktop product
Love the craft of high-end UI
Think (and build) in terms of overall user workflow, but still sweat the small stuff (you're detail oriented; but don't miss the forest for the trees)
Thrive in a fast-faced, shipping-oriented environment
Benefits
Competitive salary and generous equity grants
Great medical, vision, dental healthcare plans
Catered team lunch / expensed dinners in the office
Flexible PTO
Flexible WFH
Sun drenched office in SoHo in Manhattan, NY
Access to cool powerful hardware of all kinds
Our Interview Process
We are looking for engineering excellence and strong values / cultural fit. If your application appears to be a good match we'll reach out to schedule an initial call. If all goes well, we will proceed to 2-3 technical interviews. The final step in the process is an onsite interview in our New York office, where you will work through several more technical sessions focused around system design and architecture, meet the team and see how we work.
Compensation Range: $185K - $275K
