About Estuary

Estuary is reshaping how the world moves data. Our platform unifies CDC, batch, and streaming into one dependable system, so data teams can power analytics, operations, and AI without stitching together fragmented ETL and replication tools.

We are also one of the first data infrastructure companies shipping into the AI agent stack. Our skills library plugs directly into Claude, Cursor, and other assistants, turning Estuary into a tool agents can actually use. Telling that story to data teams is part of why this role exists.

Backed by top investors and led by experienced repeat founders in data infrastructure, we recently raised a $17M Series A led by M13.

As organizations shift toward real-time architectures, the market is moving fast, and we are too. We are looking for a Head of Product Marketing who can define what we stand for, sharpen how we sell, and build the connective tissue between product, sales, and the enterprise data community.

The Role

This is Estuary's first product marketing leadership hire. The role owns product marketing end to end, from strategy and positioning to the messaging, battle cards, and launches themselves. Working directly with our founders, Head of Sales, and product and engineering leadership, you'll turn a technical platform into a story data teams want to buy and champions can repeat without us in the room.

The scope covers competitive intelligence, sales enablement, launches, partner marketing, case studies, and buyer research, and it shapes how Estuary wins against Fivetran, Airbyte, Confluent, and the broader modern data stack.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll set the direction and do the work: writing the messaging, building the battle cards, and running the launches yourself. We're building the playbook, not executing an existing one, so strong opinions, clear technical writing, and the discipline to ship fast all matter.

What You'll Do

  • Set the product marketing strategy, tied to revenue goals, and measure its impact on pipeline and win rates.
  • Own positioning and messaging for the platform and key use cases (CDC, real-time analytics, AI pipelines, data warehouse modernization), with narratives tailored to data engineers, data architects, and data platform leaders.
  • Run buyer research through customer interviews, call transcript analysis, and win/loss, and bring those insights into roadmap, pricing, and packaging decisions.
  • Lead product launches with Product and Engineering, owning the messaging, assets, and go-to-market sequencing.
  • Build the competitive program across the data integration, CDC, and streaming space, including battle cards and field-ready talk tracks.
  • Drive sales enablement with our Head of Sales, AEs, and Sales Engineers, including narratives, objection handling, and customer case studies that help close deals.
  • Lead partner marketing with Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud providers, owning joint positioning and co-marketing.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of B2B product marketing experience at a data infrastructure, dev tools, or modern data stack company. Experience with ETL, CDC, streaming, or data integration platforms is strongly preferred.
  • Product marketing leadership: you've owned product marketing for a company or major product line, and you can defend a point of view with founders, the board, and technical buyers.
  • Fluency in the modern data stack: you understand batch ETL, ELT, CDC, and streaming well enough to hold your own with a data engineer or platform lead.
  • Strong writing and editorial judgment: you still do the work yourself, producing one-pagers, launch blogs, battle cards, and sales narratives that need little editing, and you push back on jargon and hype.
  • Customer and sales instinct: you've run buyer interviews or win/loss research, and you build enablement that AEs and SEs actually use.
  • AI fluency: you use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Notion AI, etc.) day to day to speed up research, drafting, and competitive work.

Bonus Points If You

  • Have shipped a launch at a data infrastructure or dev tools company that materially moved pipeline.
  • Have worked closely with technically focused buyers at larger organizations and understand how technical evaluation cycles actually unfold.
  • Have experience supporting partner ecosystems (Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP, Azure, or similar).
  • Have built a competitive program from scratch, including primary research, win/loss, and battle card systems.

Why Estuary

  • Head of Product Marketing seat: you will define the function and set its direction.
  • A seat at the leadership table, working directly with our founders and Head of Sales.
  • A category that is moving: the modern data stack is being rebuilt around real-time and AI, and we are positioned at the center of it.
  • Remote-first culture with offsites in cities like Miami, Austin, Boulder, and New Orleans.
  • Competitive base, equity, and full benefits.

Work Location & Travel

Estuary operates as a remote-first company. While the role is open to candidates across the US, we are prioritizing candidates based in the New York City area to support in-person collaboration with the founders and leadership team.

Travel is estimated at ~10–15% for customer meetings, partner events, and company offsites.
